out in Dubai. The legendary lead guitarist of Guns N’ Roses, with lead
singer Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators will perform on Thursday 31st
January 2013 at the Dubai Tennis Stadium as part of the closing weekend of DSF
2013.
Slash, the British-American musician and songwriter, endears
himself to his fans and invites them along to rock out as it makes him feel as
though he is part of a big gang – “we are all doing this together”.
This rock guitar legend is best known as the lead guitarist
of Guns N’ Roses, his iconic top hat and as the character of the Guitar Hero
music video game.
In 2012 as Guns N’ Roses were inducted into the Rock and
Roll Hall Of Fame and on the 25th anniversary of their legendary
album, Appetite, which features hits such as “Paradise City”, “Sweet Child o’
Mine” and “Mr Brownstone” few will argue that Slash has evolved with grass root
relevance and reverent pace into the pantheon of rock mythology.
London born and American educated, Slash has delighted old
and new fans alike the world over. Since making history and amassing sales in
excess of 100 million units with Guns N’ Roses, he continued with Slash’s
Snakepit and Velvet revolver with whom he won a Grammy for the Best Hard Rock
performance.
The collaboration between the modern master of the Gibson and Myles
Kennedy started from intuition and most will agree that the communication of
these two incredible artists rings the bells of destiny.
Named as Time
Magazine runner up on their list of “the 10 Best Electric Guitar Players” and
placed at No.1 by Total Guitar for his riff in “Sweet Child o’ Mine”, Slash
will be out to give all rock fans a memorable and mesmerising performance in
Dubai.
Their latest
album, Apocolyptic Love, is not just a new record by the storied musician with
the black top hat and magical gift for riff, for Slash and his co-conspirators,
it is indeed, destiny and every one involved is poised for the ride.
